Alpaca is full of yummy warming goodness. It is a far superior fiber compared to wool and merino wool. Alpaca is 30% warmer than the wool from most breeds of sheep and is lighter than wool. The durable hollow fibers allow it to wick and repel body moisture while remaining warm when wet. As an added benefit Alpaca does not contain lanolin and is naturally hypoallergenic. Nor will Alpaca knits mat or pill and it is stain and odor resistant.
